When designing game user interfaces, i often download many games relating to my specific genre or search around the web for some inspiration of good UI design. Although some of my favourite sites include pttrns and mobile-pattern, i noticed I couldn’t find any websites dedicated to only mobile game UI. From then on I started my own collection of game UI design on my computer.  I created GamesUI as my library to keep track of some of the best UI design or designs that intrigue me a specific way. So for game junkies, designers and developers, feel free to use GamesUI as your library of game UI patterns as well.  Sort through game elements, style or game genres to target your specific design purpose.  I will be consistently adding more and more UI examples as well.  Game on!

Hey guys, I have been working on something big lately and it’s finally live! Well not quite yet but i recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for my illustration designs.  I have turned my character illustrations into a paper air fresheners subscription. Each month a mystery character air freshener will be shipped to you so you’ll never have to go out and buy another air freshener again.  You’ll also never be bored of it as i have already created 50 Characters and will be adding more as time goes by. I hope everyone started off their new year with tones of exciting goals and resolutions.  New year’s resolutions never seem to work for me so I don’t bother.  Constantly being pro-active about your goals work better than that one day you realize about the things you need to be doing.  If there is something you want to improve, you might as well start right away instead of resting it on a date.

I’m sure everyone has watched at least one of the Rocky movies, which most people would know that these classic movies are highly inspirational.  I’ve made another poster of my favourite Rocky quote. So I guess if i had a new years resolution, you could say the meaning in this quote pretty much sums it.

Recently saw an awesome poster design with the quote “For in dreams, we enter a world that is entirely our own.” From a big dreamer like myself, I couldn’t agree more.

The characters were grabbed from google and belong to their respective owners. I’m just using them in my piece. No dream comes true until you wake up and go to work. So get to work!

Everyone should have their goals in life.  Whether it’s to build that deck in your backyard you have been holding off for weeks or to start up that dream business you had in mind for years. Getting there won’t always be easy but if you stay strong then eventually it will pay off.  Don’t let anything get in the way of your goals even if it takes much longer than you have expected.  Obstacles are put in our way to see if we really want to reach our goals or if we just thought we did.

So stop complaining and start doing. Excuses are for the weak. What are you?

I have been going through some rough times lately and i just want to remind everyone that things will not always be the way you want it to be.  If you want something, do what it takes to get it.  Don’t give up on your dreams just because of a few obstacles.  I made a new piece for you guys this morning as your motivation. I chose this style simply because of the launch of Diablo 3 and seems like its the hottest topic right now.

Sorry for being completely late for this, I know Chinese New Year has been a while now but i have been very busy with work.  This is a center piece i had to put together for a corporate event. I had to make a total of 23 of these and each part had to be bought from a different supplier.  Not to mention i carefully trimmed each branch.  It’s my crafty side!
